Services Offered to End-Users
For IOS Dental Academy to offer our training services to Panda users, we had to be sure that specific requirements were met and maintained. Among others, we had to be sure that:
1) The scanner consistently takes accurate scans to ensure well fitting restorations
2) The scanner software is user friendly and offers specific workflows for different procedures
3) The scanner hardware is well designed and manufactured for its intended purpose
4) A scan strategy is available to ensure easy, fast and accurate capturing of data, time after time
5) The IOS Company is focused on not just establishing, but maintaining relationships with their end-users through fantastic training and support
Panda not just met these requirements, but in most instances, exceeded our expectations. For these reasons we can say…
Congratulations with the purchase of your Panda IOS!
As with the purchase of any new equipment, instruments or material, you need to learn how to use it properly.
We have been in the IOS industry long enough to know how frustrating it can be for a dental clinic when they just cannot get to use a new device properly. Apart from the clinic staff, also patients get frustrated when scans need to be taken repeatedly.
What we are saying is this:
Whether you are new to intraoral scanning or whether you have been using other IOS brands for several years, you do need training. We will however adapt your training to your experience levels and we will not waste your time.
Your Training Options
You have already been trained but you are still not able to use your Panda IOS confidently
Training on the use of your Panda IOS is included in the price you paid for it. If you feel you did not receive adequate training, we suggest you take this up with the Distributor you purchased your Panda IOS from to arrange for more training. You can ask your distributor to schedule your training with us. We do not compete with the trainers of distributors, however, we do want to make sure that you receive the training you deserve. If you are not taken care of, please contact us. We will make it happen for you.
You have already been using your Panda with confidence, but need specialized training for a new workflow such as Implants
Feel free to reach out to your distributor for specialized training on a new workflow. Your distributor can offer you additional training by their own trainer or they can schedule the training with us.
If you wish to receive this specialized training from us instead, feel free to reach out to us on our “Contact Us” page so we can discuss your needs and schedule the training.
We also offer an exciting 3-day course, “Advanced Scanning-Implant Workflow” in beautiful Belize. Please read more about these courses here.

Pre Training Checklist
Experience over time has taught us how training sessions should be structured to ensure the best results.
To ensure no time is wasted during training, the following requirements need to be met:
- Adequate internet connection at the clinic, with proper download and upload speed
- The scanner is present at the clinic and laptop configuration and hardware testing are completed
- The scanner laptop is to minimal specs: 32GB RAM, i7 Processor with Windows 11, 64-bit operating system, Nvidia RTX 2060/3060 graphics card or newer
- No patients have been scheduled for treatment during the planned training hours
- A staff member is available to be scanned during hands-on scanning training
- Although multiple staff members can take part in the software and hardware training, only two staff members will be trained on intraoral scanning
- We rather want two staff members trained well than have multiple not trained well
